  • BEFORE R2OT

Trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Agnieszka Rowińska creates immersive installations and dreamlike paintings. Her works have been exhibited in Warsaw, Berlin, and Pisa, and developed through residencies in Iceland, Germany, Philippines and Italy

  • WHY DO WE LOVE IT

Because her paintings hover between perception and the unconscious. Minimalist yet evocative, her works draw on memory, dreams, and archetypes—inviting quiet introspection and contact with the unseen.

  • OUR ADVICE

Agnieszka Rowińska’s paintings unfold softly on a light wall. Place them where you can sit still and watch long—where time slows and the mind can wander into quiet reflection.

Agnieszka Rowińska

Agnieszka Rowińska (b. 1991) is a Polish visual artist whose practice centers on the intersection of spirituality, the unconscious, and collective experience. Her work grows out of a personal search for meaning and contact with the invisible, drawing inspiration from memory, dreams, meditative processes, and archetypes. She works with painting, installation, and video, creating immersive environments that encourage introspection and contemplation.

She graduated from the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (2016), in the studio of Professor Jarosław Modzelewski. She has participated in artist residencies in Iceland, Germany, Italy, and the Philippines. Her works have been presented in solo and group exhibitions across Europe and Asia.

Selected solo exhibitions:
Ślady Duszy, Marszałkowska 18, Warszawa (2025)
Zwidzenia, Art Office, Warszawa (2023)
Afterimage, iPazi Factory, Piza (2019)
Delusions, Somos Gallery, Berlin (2017)

ABOUT HER WORKS
"My work investigates the space between perception and the unconscious, exploring spirituality and the liminal states of consciousness where the boundaries between the visible and invisible begin to blur. I create oil paintings as well as a series of lightboxes—interactive objects that respond to the viewer’s movement, evoking the transience of dreams and the ephemerality of spiritual experience. My compositions are built from repetitive gestures and a monochromatic, subdued palette.

The symbols that appear in my paintings form a personal, recurring visual language—through this, I seek to find a universal visual code that can connect and speak to diverse audiences, regardless of their cultural background. The works invite introspection and reflection on what is shared and universal, offering a space for personal contact with the unconscious and the deeper layers of the spirit."
