About Us
R2OT is us, Milena ROOT and Hippolyte ROOT.
It's an art gallery 2.0 that reflects who we are. Founded in 2024, fresh out of ICART Paris, where we graduated in the production and communication of artistic and cultural projects.
One thing is certain: for most people, the art market still feels like an unfamiliar, even hostile, place.
Unable to find our place within existing galleries, we decided to open our own.
To us, a gallery should be a place of discovery, a way to discover art and culture, where everyone feels welcome. We care about discovering and promoting artists, while making contemporary art accessible to new audiences and breaking down the codes that can make traditional galleries feel intimidating, without losing the prestige of a world we love.
In September 2025, we opened our permanent gallery, at the corner of the famous Aleje Ujazdowskie and Ulica Wilcza.
Our mission: to help as many people as possible discover the joy of living surrounded by art!
Our space is arranged like a cabinet of curiosities, filled with genuine contemporary artefacts, designed to make you feel at ease and welcome, and to find a piece you'll want to bring home
Our program explores the many forms of visual art: painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, photography, installation, and textile art.
We choose our artists through a shared coup de cœur, with close attention to three criterias: technique, aesthetics, and the message a work carries. With every encounter and discovery, we look for balance between these pillars.
We started R2OT to share our passion for art. The reason we keep going? meeting you, listening to you, guiding you. What drives us most is helping you find that one of a kind artwork: the piece of art meant for you, the one that will make your home look like you, and like no one else’s.
The famous gallerist Berthe Weill is said to have once told two visitors mocking a set of avant-garde works: "You don't know how to read paintings! It's like the alphabet - it can be learned."
