"Between – Pomiędzy" is a story about the space of possibility — about what happens not at the extremes, but precisely in between them. Between words — in poetry, where new meanings are born. Between black and white, where the full spectrum of shades appears. Between gesture and silence, between "yes" and "no" — in a place that is open, alive, pulsating.

The works of Mat Kubaj focus on the moment of transition — capturing an energy that is not yet defined, but already present. The gesture becomes here a record of process, a trace of movement that does not close form, but opens it.

"Between" is not suspension or an absence of decision — it is a space of freedom. It is precisely here that potential, change, and the possibility of redefinition emerge. The viewer is not given ready-made answers, but an invitation to inhabit this state — to experience, to interpret, and to discover their own meanings.

The exhibition brings together works made in various painting techniques that interpenetrate one another, creating a coherent dialogue. What unites them is black ink, which the artist has used since the very beginning of his artistic journey.

Alongside paintings on paper and canvas, artistic textiles and the author's own poetry also appear — all inviting contemplation.
